Dähncke ingeniously captures “found situations” to create conceptual photos shaped by light and optical illusions. His art manifests itself through the unexpected, a state of being which allows for boundless creativity and play.

The ‘sense’ in his compositions is often marked by a single defining element, whether it is a simple prop — a plastic chair, a traffic cone — or a participating element from his environment. Dähncke finds amusement in revealing an invisible reality, simultaneously real and imaginary.

Anthony Vaccarello curated a selection of his photographs, available for purchase, will also be exhibited from March 19 to April 6, 2025, at Saint Laurent Babylone.
