Saint Laurent Rive Droite presents Talks, a new series of filmed conversations with personalities from cinema, photography, and art, close to Saint Laurent and to Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello. Shot in black and white, the series’ guests are interviewed by French journalist Augustin Trapenard in a minimalist setting, while answering intimate questions about their lives and careers.
The second episode features French director, producer and screenwriter Jacques Audiard, who directed the film Emilia Pérez, co-produced by Anthony Vaccarello through Saint Laurent Productions. Interviewed by Augustin Trapenard, Audiard discusses the film and how he came to think about it. He talks about the importance of constraints and how they stimulate him, the importance of music and the privilege of being able to tell stories. Cinema, for Audiard, is to communicate and explore, to go towards the unknown.
Available on Youtube and all major podcast platforms.
Currently in theatres in France, Emilia Pérez will be released in the UK on October 25th and in the USA on November 1st. It will also launch on Netflix in the UK, USA and Canada on November 13th.
Furthermore, Saint Laurent Rive Droite is pleased to present ‘Emilia Pérez by Jacques Audiard’, a new SL Editions book, coming out soon.
